Atlantic Coated Papers (ACP) is a leading paper converter in Canada. They chose BlueKanGo to eliminate paper documents from various processes. Learn more through the explanations of their Quality Manager, Martine MICHON.
ACP has 2 plants, one in Quebec and one in Ontario, so we had a lot of paper documentation and two standards (ISO 9001, FSSC 22 000) to manage on both sites, with sometimes different management processes. Our main needs were therefore to centralise information, standardise and harmonise the processes of both sites, with a single common digital solution and efficient integrated document management.
The BlueKanGo solution met our needs with its SaaS platform, multi-site functionality, integrated electronic document management and custom applications.
Today at ACP, the BlueKanGo software is used by the Quality department for the various quality inspections, the management of production non-compliance and the management of the register of receipts and shipments. The managers use it for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring of hygiene, production quality, and for all internal audits. Finally, field employees (Shippers and Receivers) are equipped with BlueKanGo for incoming and outgoing inspections.
On a day-to-day basis, BlueKanGo software allows us to eliminate all paper documents from our various quality processes, and centralises all information, even if it comes from different plants. It is therefore possible to monitor the activity of a particular site remotely, without the need to be physically present there, or to organise meetings that take up the time of teams from both structures.
Tasks can also be delegated to individual users, who receive alerts for monitoring to be carried out or documents to be approved, for example. The platform’s applications are adaptable to the company’s changing needs, which means that the data can always be accessed and analysed even if the company’s processes change.
Our BlueKanGo platform allows us to prioritise and act quickly in our decision making. This saves time and increases efficiency!
The objective is to continue to centralise all Quality processes within the platform. In the future, we want to integrate human resources management with the BlueKanGo training module “management of employee training”.
