IMPROVE YOUR EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY
Penta-Ocean Construction is a major Japanese construction company delivering large-scale projects in marine civil engineering, land civil engineering and building construction works. As part of their Tekong Polder Joint Venture Project with Boskalis in Singapore and a move towards the digitalization of construction site processes, they engaged ESC to implement the BlueKanGo QHSE software solution with customised modules for Permit To Work (PTW), safety hazard observation cards, HSE inspection and incident management reporting.
GOALS ACHIEVED
Working with Penta-Ocean’s HSSE Group Manager Colin Liu and drawing upon the knowledge and experience of the safety team at Boskalis, ESC configured a customised permit to work module which can be accessed by site users via desktop, phones and tablet. The digitalization of the permit process greatly reduces the time spent on permit approval as compared with a paper based system, moreover, with the addition of mandatory fields, timestamping and records presented in an easy to monitor table, visibility and accountability have been greatly enhanced. As well as improving the efficiency of the permit to work process, the system also allows upper management to analyze data captured in the safety hazard observation cards, safety inspections and incident management modules which they can view in statistical tables and graphs and identify key trends and patterns in the behaviour of site users.
